Affiliate disclosure

Shipped With is an independent publication. We make money when readers sign up for tools we recommend, through affiliate programs. This page explains exactly how that works, which programs we participate in, and what we promise to never do.
What we do
When we recommend a tool in an article, we use a tracked affiliate link. If you click that link and sign up or buy something, the tool's affiliate program pays us a small commission. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes out of the tool's marketing budget, not your pocket.

What we promise
- We only recommend tools we've actually used. Every "best X for Y" article on this site is based on hands-on testing, not spec sheets or vendor pitches.
- Articles are useful even without the affiliate links. If you removed every tracked link from any of our articles, the article would still be useful. We write for readers, not for clicks.
- Every article with affiliate links has a visible disclosure at the top. You should never be surprised that an article makes money.
- Affiliate status never changes our recommendations. We turn down affiliate programs for tools we wouldn't recommend anyway.
- We disclose negative findings. If a paid partner's tool has real problems, we say so. The commission isn't worth misleading you.
Per-article cap
Per our internal writing guide, each article contains at most 3 inline affiliate links plus 1 disclosure box. Articles are designed to deliver value first; affiliate placement is a secondary concern.
How this site is funded
Affiliate commissions are the primary revenue source for Shipped With. We may also display contextual ads or sponsored content in the future; any such additions will be disclosed clearly.
